Wildlife capture and sampling
Wildlife Veterinary Consulting personnel have nearly 40 years of combined experience humanely capturing a wide variety of wildlife species, including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and large and small mammals. As a result, we are well-prepared to help managers and researchers safely capture, handle, and sample wildlife using multiple techniques, including netting, trapping, and chemical immobilization.
project development and writing
WVC personnel have extensive experience with all aspects of field and laboratory research, from project conception and grant writing, to protocol development, Animal Care and Use Committee documents, data analysis, and publication in peer-reviewed journals, we are poised to assist researchers and managers with these tasks at any time during a project.
education and training
WVC personnel have developed and taught courses on wildlife and domestic animal capture and anesthesia, and on wildlife diseases. We offer these courses to large and small groups, and can develop curricula designed to specifically meet your training needs.
